Jeeps May Go to Farms After the War

Biloxi Daily Herald - May 29, 1942

When Johny puts up his gun after helping whip the Germans, the Japs and the Italians, he may take a jeep back to the farm with him - but not just for the heck of it. The US Department of Agriculture has tested the jeep as a farm power unit and found it handy for many operations. This photo, made at the department's farm tillage machinery laboratory at Auburn, Ala, shows one of the qaurter ton reconnaissance cars pulling a double disc plow.
