<p>NEW YORK, June 7 - Here are some interesting "straws in the wind" revealing trends, quirks and oddities of these repidly changing times:</p>

<p>"Jeeps" - or quarter-ton reconnaissance cars - may get jobs on the farm after the wat is over... test have dhown that these tough and nimble "battle buggies" do good work in light plowing, harrowing and other farm operations - row crops excepted.  With 60 hp. engine and four-wheel drive, the "jeep" had a draw-bar pull of as much as 1,300 pounds, with almost no wheel slippage.</p>
