United States Army Quartermaster Corps


The US Army Quartermaster Corps (QMC) was the original US Army department charged with the jeep development and procurement until July 1942 when the Ordnance Department took over.  The source documents in this section are ones related to the jeep development and prior activities that involved other small vehicle manufacture.
